YLS events are run by a group of 4 or 5 volunteers. We’ll shortly be posting details of how we ran the event ‘behind the scenes’, together with tips we picked up on the way that might be useful for YLS committees in future years.

Update 1 – your meeting proposal
You’ll need a meeting proposal when applying for funding – whether you’re hoping to run a YLS event or perhaps run a meeting sponsored by a learned society. We tried hard to show that we’d thought about the meeting, by submitting a proposed timeline and potential speaker list. You can download our application (minus CVs) here.
Note there’s room for improvement – we didn’t actually win our YLS bid, we came 2nd.
